BEST CEMENT BRAND 2017

The Leading Cement Brand of the country, Shah Cement was awarded as the ‘Best Cement Brand 2017’ by Bangladesh Brand Forum for the 3rd time which is given based on the joint countrywide survey conducted by Bangladesh Brand Forum and market research agency Kantar Millward Brown.

Naushad Chowdhury, Brand Marketing Director of Abul Khair Group received the award at a gala event in Le Meridien Hotel, Dhaka on November 25, 2017. Shah Cement was the recipient of the ‘Best Brand Award’ in 2010 when the award was first introduced for the cement category. Shah Cement was also awarded the Best Cement Brand in 2016.

ASIA RESPONSIBLE ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD 2015

Shah Cement was recognized amongst the very best in Asia. Shah Cement received the accolade – ASIA RESPONSIBLE ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD-2015 for championing responsible entrepreneurship, maintaining high standards of quality and for its commitment to customer service.

Enterprise Asia derived Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards (AREA) program recognizes and honours regional businesses based on Environment, Fair Practices, Community and its People. Green Leadership, Investment in People, Health Promotion, Social Environment, SME, CSR and Responsible Business Leadership are the main categories beneath which awards are given. Prominent organizations have previously received this award for their excellency in undertaking responsibilities.

PHILIP KOTLER WITH SHAH CEMENT

In order to share the successful marketing practice with the academics, Shah Cement joined hands with the world’s leading Marketing Guru Philip Kotler. On July 7, 2011, at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, a program was organized to launch a case book of successful marketing cases from Bangladesh and West Bengal. A MoU signing ceremony was held between Prof. Philip Kotler and Naushad Chowdhury, Brand Marketing Director of Abul Khair Group to incorporate success story of Shah Cement in business case book co-authored by Philip Kotler. Case studies of successful businesses and brands are an essential ingredient for any vibrant economy as a learning reference for other businesses and business students. This unique publication with Prof. Kotler will be a big step forward for Bangladesh filling the gap of local knowledge creation in the business sector.

Shah Cement achieved its reward of being excellent/maintaining the pulse of success while BBF  introduced the award in cement category for the first time. Best Cement Brand Award has been shaped towards recognizing the success of the business community of Bangladesh and portraying its achievements.
